Clean

Clean for is a term that is defined by science – all Medeau's ingredients have been proven in multiple scientific sources to be non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, and non-endocrine disruptive. They will never formulate with stabilizers, parabens, or phthalates – all of which are regularly found in luxury perfumery.

Transparent

For starters, they don’t dye our perfume; you’ll notice that their bottle contains a clear liquid. This is because the dyes (natural or synthetic) used to colour perfume can be notoriously toxic. They're also committed to being transparent about what ingredients they do use. Their elegant formulas only contain ingredients that are safe for you and for the planet.

Non-toxic

All of their ingredients are EWG approved as non-toxic. Plenty of ingredients classified by the EWG as toxic still find their way onto ingredient lists approved by EU and FDA regulators. These ingredients (such as limonene, styrene, and camphor) will never be used by Medeau.

Vegan

That means no animal products, no animal bi-products (like musks, nitro musks or ambergris), and no animal testing. We are PETA/Leaping Bunny certified, and cruelty-free across their whole supply chain.

Synthetic

So how can a perfume be clean but not natural? A good question. Many clean brands will tell you that natural ingredients are better for you. Medeau actually disagrees. They do formulate with a few natural ingredients where they are the best option but they look to science to help choose bioidenticals where they are more sustainable, synthetics where they are less irritating or less harmful to the body, and lab-made preservatives when they are more efficient and 100% non-toxic. 

Sustainable

Their packaging is consciously designed. Medeau uses recycled glass to make our recyclable bottles. Their perfumes are formulated and bottled in the UK, supporting British businesses and reducing our carbon footprint.
