We've all walked into a store be it Boots, Space NK or the like and walked out hundreds of quid less with an armload of products promising us minimized pores and blemish-free skin. 

However, we wanted to investigate how to achieve some of these same results without having to reach into our beauty vanity. See below to discover the best foods to stock your fridge for your best skin yet. 

There is a common misconception that to achieve flawless skin you should spend a fortune on scientifically proven products to minimise pores and with-hold blemishes. However, with wellbeing sliding to the forefront, we take a look at other ways to help you achieve near to flawless skin without reaching for the bottle.

Avocado

It may seem like an obvious one, but did you know that Avocado is loaded with Vitamin A? Vitamin A is that helpful little ingredient that helps repair skin cells and can help clear up red and blotchy skin.

Mint Tea

Not only is mint tea calming for any stomach issues, it can also have a wonderfully calming effect on red and irritable skin.

Chicken, Fish & Vegetables

For more mature skin that needs a bit more bounce, you can give your skin a natural plump by making sure you feast on plenty of chicken, fish and vegetables. But remember, steaming, poaching and grilling your food is a great way to avoid unnecessary fats that could contribute to unsightly breakouts.

For those who are prone to dry skin, loading up on oily fish is a great way to combat nasty dry patches which can leave your skin looking tired and aging.

All berries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and more provide fantastic antioxidants which help to keep your skin free from spots!
